Another Long, hard weekend

This weekend so far has been tiring. William has been out digging and ripping out weeds and overgrowth as per usual. I got rid of the old pond and put a new water feature in the space instead. I painted the entrance and William also did the last coat on three doors for upstairs.
We also had a bit of a boo boo today - during which I felt REALLY BAD - but at the same time it was quite funny!

I needed some river stones for my water feature so I went down to SAPAR and paid for 1/2 m3. Only about $30 so that was great. Anyhow, Williams dad comes over with his trailer and him and William go down to pick up my purchase. When they drove back down the road, the falcon was sitting fairly close to the road suspension wise at the back and William and Cedric both did not have very happy looks on their faces! I really didn't think that 1/2m3 would be that much! So the two of them had to get all of these rocks out of the trailer with shovels, and according to William, I'm cooking dinner for the next Month!!! LOL

The Water Tank Saga Part II

Well my man has astonished me again and added yet another improvement to our home....
Will, his Dad and I spent a couple of hours trying to get a 7ft water tank thru a 5ft gap down the side of the house last week. We finally just used all of the energy that we could muster and lifted the thing up above the fence line and shuffled it through.
William prepared the site for the tank and we now have gardens starting to grow around it thanks to yours truly..... hmmm just need some rain now....

My Girl and I

Chelsea and I are so alike it scares me sometimes... Here we are reading together on my Birthday. - I had a great day and got some lovely gifts.

Rikki & Mark's Beautiful Wedding

On Saturday 18th March we attended the Wedding of Rikki and Mark. I went to high school with Rikki and her bridesmaid Jessica.

Rikki and Mark were married in the Uniting Church in Ipswich and the Reception was held at Brothers in the function room. We had a beautiful day and as you can see, got some absolutely stunning photos.

I am so happy for them both and I hope they enjoy their honeymoon on the Gold Coast and then on Dunk Island.

The Water Tank Saga

Now everyone knows that nothing is simple in the Berderow household. That includes getting our new 5011 Litre watertank into position. and THAT is why we now have a watertank, on its side, in our garage.
We cannot fit it down either side of the house without lifting it up above our heads, which with one man and one tired woman and about 30 hungry mozzies at 5.30pm, is not a very tempting thought. We were worried about someone helping themselves when we are at work tomorrow if we left it in the front yard, so the Lexcen has been turfed out, and the water tank rolled into place in the garage. Will keep you posted - LOL S xo

Jetskiing at Lake Somerset

Tonight I received some great photos of my good friends James & Catherine at Lake Somerset on the weekend.
James obviously loved the jetski!

Renee's Photos

The Bridal Party

My Hens night at Renee's house before going out to see WILD BOYS AFLOAT!!

NEW PHOTOS

Wow have I had a busy weekend or what?!
I don't think there is one area that I haven't dabbled in this weekend. I have painted walls, painted wardrobe doors, gardened, rendered walls and hung blinds.

The rendered wall is in the entrance and it looks PHENOMENAL so proud of myself. I know something looks good when William keeps coming back to look at it and shaking his head. LOL.

Renee came over yesterday SHE WILL BE ON THE NET SOON I am so Excited!!! She brought over a CD full of photos of the wedding and hens night that I have never seen before, so I have included some of these new ones - they are really good.

After spending most of the morning painting Chelsea's new Bi-fold wardrobe doors with white gloss paint, I have vowed never to use anything but matt ever again. - ok I guess I'm gonna have to at some stage - I am covered in paint head to toe, and it WON't come off!! Not to mention trying to get the gloss surface to look perfect with no brush strokes and nearly keeling over from the fumes!!

We have finally finished preparing the front yard. The other side of the driveway now has a garden and grass seeds are down as well. Garden has Croton, Bird of paradise, original Pony tail palm and some other plants also as well as a big decorative rock. Looks very neat and tidy now. Down the back we have a space for the trampoline now, as one of the terraced gardens has been cleared of overgrowth. Will be hopefully putting in a sandpit soon.

Will had to take Chelsea to dancing yesterday morning as I had to work. - Got to go out on the road on a trip for a change. Apparently she wasn't as good in the class as she is when I am there, so I think it sounds like she was showing off for William or something.

Renee's little boy Tristan is auditioning for a Huggies commercial on Monday and I hope he gets it. Here is a photo of the handsome little boy.

Enjoy your week,
Love Susan xo

EVENING.....

I hope the week so far has treated everyone well. I myself am sitting here dripping with sweat as the Qld weather has decided to head back to summer trends. I so love the rain and we need LOTS of it. We are due to have our new water tank delivered early next week, so everyone can thank the Berderows for the end to the wet weather - Murphy's Law ay?? LOL.
Life at work is very busy as per usual, but I must admit that I thrive when I have lots to do. There is nothing worse than sitting there bored. I have the opportunity to do a few more hours at work to catch up, but honestly, the thought that Will and Chelsea are at home without me always makes me leave work at 4pm on the dot. William was on night shift for over 2 years - thats a long time! I must admit that since he has been back on day shift since January, I have had it A LOT easier!! He is very domesticated indeed. Does the washing, cooks dinner probably 80% of the time, baths and dresses Chelsea, AND on the weekends does his handyman jobs around the house and yard. aaaaaah...... I have a good man, and I feel very lucky indeed!!

Chelsea is very quickly growing up into a little lady. Buzz and Woody from Toy Story are all the rage at the moment, and she is thrilled with her new Buzz Lightyear toothbrush we got at grocery shopping tonight! In the last month though, we have a new problem. Chelsea is continually waking up during the night and having tantrums in her sleep. Its amazing to see, because I remember having them myself actually. I remember mum coming into my room and no matter what she did, it wasn't right, and I remember getting more and more worked up! Chelsea has been having these tantrums around 1am probably once a week for the last couple of weeks and it really is discouraging to not be able to settle her down. After last nights episode, I believe I might start looking at different things she is eating. In the last month she has been drinking a new kind of popper, that I believe may have a HEAP more sugar. I am going to take her off it and see what happens. Seems irrelevant, but hey, if it works - then I will be happy. Anything to keep my girl happy and healthy.

As mentioned the other day, I think I might get back into Ebay selling. My item I had for sale last week sold for a very good price, so I am happy.

1 1/2 weeks til my birthday (24) can't wait. Then on the 18th my friend Rikki and her fiancee Mark get hitched! It will be hard because this will be the first wedding we have been to after our own. (cue aaaaaw) LOL I miss my wedding preparations and excitement... well, maybe not the preparations err.

Anyways, have a very enjoyable evening/morning/day - wherever and whoever you are.

Love Suze xo

Aren't I Clever?!

I am just so proud of myself right now! We had a problem with our computer where it was not connecting to the internet at all. Spent two hours on the phone to AAPT on Friday trying to fix the problem. Ran virus checks, tried to restore settings for Internet Explorer, you name it, I tried it. So today, I taught myself to totally restore the computer to its original state. I saved all of our valuable data of course, but it worked, and so here I am connected to the internet again!
I love love LOVE the weather in SE QLD right now. Cold, wet, windy. Sure beats that horrible summer heat that I absolutely HATE. I am just travelling nicely with my scrapping. Completed 4 layouts over the weekend. I went to my first crop night on Friday night and it was great to get some good ideas off other people. Went to the home show in Brisbane yesterday, trying to get the best deal on our 5000 litre water tank - William is looking after all of that business though. There was some beautiful stuff there though. Can't wait till we get settled and in a couple of years can get a pool with a big deck to sit on. (Fingers crossed). Chelsea and I went to Renee's today for a linen party. Chelsea had a ball playing with the kids, and I got to have a chat with Julie for a change.

Hmmm, I don't have many thoughts from the heart to share this entry. I think I'm just glad to have my computer back!! I think I might post a few more photos from the last few days as well. I am amazed actually, how many people have been reading my blog. Everyone mentions it when they see me, I suppose though that I love reading other people's as well. Its contagious. A bit like ebay I think. Speaking of ebay, I have one item for sale at the moment. I was quite surprised it has a few bids on it. I would love to get back into ebay to save up for something special. It takes some mucking around though to organise everything though. Oh well. I hope everyone enjoys their week. Thank God for the rain. Our new grass seed out the front has taken off in the wet conditions. VERY PLEASED INDEED!!

Enjoy whats left of your weekend ;D Susan
