Hello!

We have all been sick in the last few weeks, all with the Flu. Nothing has been done on the house because we have been preoccupied with other stuff. Chelsea had her photo taken with GOTCHA! photos again last week, I can't wait to get the portraits back. She won first prize last year in the competition and the photos are just so natural.

The yard is looking really green, even before the rain came. William drains the grey water into the front and backyards, which has such a big impact - one day and the grass greens right up! The backyard is always shaded by the house and trees in the afternoon, so its always cool and shady and the grass isn't burnt to a crisp by the sun. I have to think of something to do this weekend on the house, hmmm - oh well, how about I just scrap instead!!

I ordered about 50 photos online to pick up from our local Big W, that was 8 days ago, and they're still not in NOT HAPPY JAN. For something different I have started knitting Chelsea a gorgeous pink scarf. Mum has made Meagan one with feather wool and it looks so sweet, so I had a bit of a refresher lesson, and now Chelsea should have a new scarf by the time she is 21! LOL

I'm scrapping a bit more now, on the weekend I did a layout that I never thought I could do. It was about me, about what stage I'm at in my life currently, things that I would like to do, but can't, for one reason or another, It was a real eye opener, and quite therapeutic, to write about myself. After I finished the page, I read it out to Will and ended up in tears, I'm glad I got it all out though. One area I'm trying to build up in my scrapping also, is the journalling. I take great pride in the quality of my photography, and so I tend to just scrap with the intent to show the photos off. In Chelsea's album particularly, I want to start talking about her more, what she's up to, and what I feel about her, so that she can look back and know that mummy and daddy loved her so much!

Work is HECTIC. Everyday I go home and my in tray is piled higher than it was when I first walked in that morning. Doesn't matter though, I love my job still. That's just me.

Chelsea is pretty much fully toilet trained now. She has even slept through the night without wetting her pants one night (forgot to put a nappy on!), but I am happy to wait a while for total 'big girldom'! She still loves dancing, likes watching Big Brother and is obsessed with fairies, princesses and ballerinas. ahhh - A total girl. Its only a few weeks until she is 3! She knows she's having a party, and she can't wait. I should start planning it soon, its not far away. 25th July.

This week I have been getting all my Digital photos on CD's together and sorting and organising them, so I can burn them all onto a DVD. As a result, I have found some gorgeous photos - not recent, that I just have to put up. Until next time, hope you (and us) get lots of rain. Suzi xo

Samantha's 21st

This weekend we had Will's sister Samantha's 21st at our house. We had about 45 people over, who all huddled around a roaring fire to keep warm!
Sam got some really nice presents, and we got to meet her boyfriend Wayne for the first time. He is a really nice guy and they seem happy together. They had to go home today, home being 4 hours away, so we probably won't see them again until christmas.
The backyard was looking really nice, Here is a picture of the beautiful lighting we had up into the trees, very dramatic. Posted by Picasa
