The weekend's shopping trip.... oh I feel so baddd!!!

1. My new Brother Sewing machine - private seller on ebay
2. Gorgeous Rockabilly vintage look dress - ebay
3. Kikki K 'Host' mushroom stamp
4. Havaiana's Octopus thongs for Rhysy
5. Jumbo Cupcake silicone mold - Deals direct
6. The almighty iPad - who else? apple... :)

ok. I'm feeling a little guilty right now.... I have overspent... and it feels GOOD!!! It all started when we went shopping the other day and had a look at the ipads in one store. Chelsea and I both have ipod touches, I have a Mac and Will has a Macbook and iphone. So instore, Chelsea automatically picked up the iPad and started playing. It looked so GOOOD!!!!! So sleek, and modern, and... shiny!!!
My one single most favourite feature of the Apple family is iCal. For all the PC users out there, its kind of like the calendar function in your Outlook, but many many times better!!

Being an organisational freak I list bills, birthdays, events and to do's into my iCal, and until now have been syncing this each night with my iPod touch, which stays in my handbag as my organiser/diary. The iPad just blows my mind with its size, the beautiful clear screen and the double page organiser!!!! I had to have it.... So I decided that to minimise the financial loss :) I would sell my ipod touch and my DS (that I no longer use) on ebay.

I bought the iPad. We have used it all weekend and I am so pleased with it. The kids have been playing games (educational of course!) and reading ebooks on it and they just love it. Its easy enough for Rhys to tap the screen and play toddler games too. Definitely a fabulous purchase.

Will took us for a surprise roadtrip today and refused to tell me where we were going. This was kind of hard for me as I couldn't help myself - How far? What should we wear? what shoes? Do I pack food for the kids? We ended up 1.5 hrs north at our family beach haunt Caloundra. The markets on a Sunday there are gorgeous under the old fig trees along the main street. I got 3 beautiful silk wraparound skirts for $10 each!!! Afterwards we headed up to Maroochydore for lunch and some shopping at Pacific Fair.

We were home early this afternoon and I managed to get a few items photographed and ready for ebay - tonights listings went off with a bang and I am quite pleased with the results. More cash for the kitty - for the house of course ;)

The house has been annoying me as I haven't had much time to organise the mess that seems to keep accumulating with two children. I am dying to clean out the wardrobe in Rhys' room which is acting as a storage cupboard (not pretty!). In addition, the play room is just not doing it for me at the moment. I haven't finished it from when my computer moved out and I'm dying to get in there and do... SOMETHING! One of those somethings will be to put in a table for my new Sewing machine I'm expecting any day now!!!! I am only a novice, but hope to step up and learn some things that I've been wanting to do for a long time now.

Hope your weekend was as amazing as mine was - I spent so much time with the kiddies and loved every minute...

xx Susan

Mmmm Radio Flyer Red.....

I can dream that it's summer - can't I?

A vintage Photoshoot

I am a lover of vintage toys, vintage clothes (although I can't find many genuine vintage for myself) and I love love love the notion of the 50's housewife, staying at home to keep house and look after the family. On a whim I decided to race outside this afternoon and capture the kids as they played. Nothing says Queensland like wearing summer clothes in the middle of winter!!!

The cherubs are both very photogenic and more than willing for me to snap away to my hearts content.
