Happy Easter 2006!

Ours has been a quiet, family oriented easter. We travelled 1 1/2 hours to Black Duck Valley on Easter Day, taking the Buggy and Dad's new trailbike. We all had a ball! The easter bunny was very good to all of us ESPECIALLY Chel Bel. I am slowly working on Samantha's 21st album, three pages done, and I am very pleased with it. I will post photos when its finished. I have a three day week at work this week. Thursday mum and I are going to the craft show in Brisbane CAN'T WAIT! Then the next how many weeks, have public holidays and long weekends as well! WOO HOO!

Birthdays this week,

POP WELLS - 17 April, sorry couldn't get down to see you this weekend for easter Pop, hope you have a wonderful day today!

MY MUMMY - Janet - 18 April, hmmm surprises from me at the Craft show for you!

EILEEN - William's mother - 19 April, we are going to visit them up in beautiful Laidley next weekend

ALSO latest news on our littlest, newest cousin,

Charlie Isabelle was born on Sat 8th April 2006 at 10.03am weighing 3.11kg (6 pound 14 ounces).

Congratulations to every one, especially my beautiful mumma, hope you have a wonderful day.
Photo taken May 87 in Penang, Malaysia, Mum was 30 and radiant as ever!

I finally tried my wedding dress on the other night, after finally picking it up from the dry cleaners weeks ago. It still fits beautifully, and I walked around and around the house feeling sad that I would never wear it again. Chelsea oohed and aahed and called it my fairy dress, I will have to get her flowergirl dress out again and see if it still fits her, its probably a bit too short thats all.

Countdown, around 6 weeks to Aimee's 21st and 7 weeks to Samantha's 21st, hmm girls, we will see what dear sister Suze has in store for you hmmm? I am the photo and video queen haha - Seriously though, I love inspirational, beautiful, meaningful photos and displays, rather than publicly humiliating someone who is celebrating their coming of age. So the girls should be more than happy with what I have planned for them. This week I trawled through hours upon hours of video footage taken through the 80's and 90's by my parents, they are all on old VIDEO8 cassettes, so I have been editing and burning them all to DVD. We had a video night last night with the first two DVD's and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. My, how things change. Thats all I'm going to say......

Anyhow, time to post some photos now, I know that's why you're all on here looking - not to hear my chit chat - so here we are, this is the Berdies most recent material summed up..

Enjoy your week everyone,
xo Suze

New Photos

Friday - chilled
Saturday - relaxed
Sunday - lazed around
I don't think we should have taken that break from working on the house last weekend..... now we've done it two weekends in a row!
Friday night I rearranged and redid my scraproom - so much nicer, will have to post photos at some stage.
On Saturday we did the usual, dancing in the morning, got my hair cut - love it! and
Saturday night went to mum and dad's for a gorgeous dinner - curry, pappadums, sweet and sour pork and rice mmmmm yum.
We had a ball over there as we always do, and got some great photos. Will, Dave, Andrew and Dad went out bush on a local dirt track with the Odyssey, and all had a go. They got home after dark, all covered in dirt and grinning from ear to ear. Will's ankle is pretty swollen at the moment, I think he hurt it at indoor cricket earlier in the week, it was sore all week and then riding the buggy must have set it off again, cos last night it was HUGE. I have never seen an ankle that swollen before! OUCH.

Today we slept in REAAAAAAAAAALLY late, 10.30am (can't remember the last time I did that!) and woke up to find Chelsea Leah in mischief. We crept out into the kitchen where we could hear running water. She was standing on her chair, up at the sink, frantically trying to scrub black nikko off her hands. Her legs were COVERED in nikko stripes up and down, back and front. hahahah. Couldn't laugh at the time though!!

We had a bbq lunch at Diane and Russells for Poppy's birthday today. He will be 88 tomorrow, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

This arvo I surfed the net a bit and then got to work in Chelsea's pigsty of a room, cleaning rearranging and moving. Packed away all of her baby toys, now she has big girls things like barbies and ponies and dolls clothes etc. mmm thats my girl.

One week til the easter bunny comes!!! xo Susan

OUR PHOTO SHOOT

It was time for our periodical photo shoot so we all got dressed up and set ourselves up in the loungeroom. I was not happy with any of the photos (as per usual) but give me 2 years or so, and I will look back and think how great we looked.

We had a pretty quiet weekend. I am happy to say that absolutely NOTHING got done around the house (apart from a bit of cleaning). Will and I both just needed a good break and a weekend to ourselves. Chelsea is happily wearing 'big girl knickers' during the day now and even tells us when she needs to go to the toilet. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, now that she is finally ready to be a 'big girl'.

William has started playing indoor cricket. I almost fell over when he told me that him and some mates from work had formed a team and play every Thursday night. He needed a hobby of some sort and I'm glad that he is doing something he enjoys.

I have nothing new to report, about myself. I'm trying to scrapbook, but I just can't get comfy and get stuck into it. I don't like my scraproom - its cluttered and the walls are ugly and the floor isn't polished and I just don't feel at home in there - and comfort, is something that I need, in order to get creative.... hmm sounds like an easy way to spend a lot of money!!

Seriously though, I have seen some photos of some craftrooms women have in the US, and geez, they do not spare any expense whatsoever!

Anyway, I must go and use what energy I have on something creative. Hopefully this week I will post some photos of my latest layouts. I am quite proud of my latest efforts.

MEMORIES.......

I'm not going to give too much information... hint hint Aimee and Samantha.... but I have been recently digging up old photos and reminiscing. Aimee and Sam both turn 21 within a week of each other in May/June. I found these gorgeous photos. The top one is William and Sam taken around the end of 1985. The second photo is me holding Aimee when she was brand new in hospital. 23 May 1985. AAWWWW so sweet..... :) Posted by Picasa
